Dr. Truant will enable participants to see the bigger picture and understand the drug discovery process. He will explain the lines of attack that are most likely to yield useful treatments in the foreseeable future and respond to questions. <p>Dr. Truant is an associate professor in the department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University. He has authored several high-level reviews of HD research and is the architect of promising research into brain cell death which has identified new targets for HD drugs. In 2001, Dr Truant won the CIHR "New Scientist" award.
